" These photographs represent a vignette of the people, places and things I photographed in a variety of London hotels over the last ten years while working as a night porter. There are also pictures from hotels I stayed in as a paying guest and my life out of uniform.

The hotel guest or visitor sees only the uniform and not the person behind it. People I knew would walk past me when I was wearing my hotel uniform, not recognising me.

I feel it is nice to view another planet as a visitor, but not so nice to live there. A bit like a hotel really...."
