Mind The Gap chronicles perhaps the greatest of urban adventures: the journey to the very ends of the London Underground.

This unauthorised geography of the Underground celebrates the strange, sometimes mysterious, and rarely visited places at the farthest reaches of the system, past and present.

Simon James is a photographer and writer whose work appears regularly in journals and exhibitions in the UK and overseas. His photographs are held in the permanent collections of the National Portrait Gallery and the Imperial War Museum.
