Angus Boulton
British
Born England, 1964
In the years following the fall of the Berlin Wall, Angus Boulton produced these beautiful and deceptively simple photographs of forlorn ex-Soviet military interiors. These images of gymnasia, canteens, theatres and swimming pools offer a rare glimpse of Cold War architecture and its institutional leisure spaces.
Boulton has exhibited at an international level and his work is included in the collections of The British Council, The Imperial War Museum, Channel Four, Museum of London and DG Bank.
